Why 2027

A Holy Year happens 14 times per century

The Porta Santa of Santiago Cathedral — sealed by a stone wall for years — is only opened during a Holy Year. Pilgrims who enter receive a Plenary Indulgence. The next Holy Year after 2027 is 2032. Our July 16–25 departure arrives in Santiago on July 25th itself — the Feast of Saint James, the most sacred day of the year.

The last Holy Year attracted over 400,000 pilgrims. Projections for 2027 exceed 500,000. This is not just a walk. It is a once-per-decade encounter with one of the great spiritual and cultural traditions of the world.

🚪
The Holy Door opens
The Porta Santa is only unsealed during a Holy Year — 14 times per century. Pilgrims who pass through receive the Jubilee Indulgence.
Once-per-decade energy
Pilgrims from every continent converge. Concerts, festivals and special masses across Galicia. The Camino vibrates at a frequency you can feel.
📜
The Compostela certificate
Every pilgrim who completes the final 100 km earns the Compostela. In 2027 it carries the added weight of the Holy Year Jubilee.

Your facilitator

The person with you every step

From the first call to the airport goodbye on Day 10 — one person, with you the whole way.

I’ve been to Santiago de Compostela more times than I can count — first as a pilgrim, then as someone who realised how transformative the experience is for people who do it in the right conditions. I designed this trip because I saw how little existed that was genuinely tailored — not a bus tour, but a real walking journey with cultural depth and human connection.

From the first call
We talk before you book. You know who you’re walking with before you spend a single euro.
Every km on the Camino
I walk every stage with the group. Morning briefings, pace management, real-time problem solving.
After you return
The group WhatsApp stays alive. The Compostela is framed. The connection lasts longer than the blisters.
“The Camino teaches you that the journey matters more than the destination. As the person who designs the journey, I try to make sure every single day matters — not just the arrival in Santiago.”— Iani, Founder of Yuko Bridge

FAQ

Questions we always get

Do I need to be Catholic to do this?
Not at all. The Camino welcomes walkers of all faiths and none. Many people walk for personal challenge, reflection or cultural experience. The Holy Year adds an extraordinary spiritual and cultural layer — the Holy Door and Pilgrim’s Mass are there for those who want them, and a beautiful spectacle for everyone.
How fit do I need to be?
Moderate fitness is enough. The Camino Português from Tui is one of the most accessible routes — no extreme elevation, no technical terrain. You’ll walk 18–24 km per day for 6 days. We recommend building up to 15–20 km walks in the months before. We send a full training guide when you book.
What are the five departure dates?
April 16–25 (spring, wildflowers, quiet paths), June 16–25 (early summer, warm, long days), July 16–25 (arrives Santiago on July 25 — Feast of Saint James, holiest day of the Holy Year), September 16–25 (early autumn, golden light), and October 16–25 (autumn colours, quiet paths).
How does the payment plan work?
€500 deposit to secure your place. Then pay the remaining balance in any number of instalments, in whatever amounts work for you — as long as the full balance is cleared 60 days before departure. We accept bank transfer, card, PayPal, Wise and Revolut.
What exactly is included?
9 nights accommodation, daily breakfast, 8 group dinners, luggage transfer all 6 stages, credencial, Compostela certificate, Holy Door facilitation, all inter-city transport, Prado Museum entry, Caldas thermal spa, Spanish SIM, pilgrim kit, and Iani with the group 24/7. Not included: international flights, lunches, travel insurance, personal expenses.
Do I need a visa for Spain?
Spain is in the Schengen Area. Most EU, EEA, UK, US, Canadian and Australian passport holders are visa-free for up to 90 days. We confirm your situation on enquiry.
What if the minimum group size isn’t reached?
We need a minimum of 8 participants. If we don’t reach 8 by 90 days before departure, your €500 deposit is returned in full with no fees. We always give at least 60 days notice.
Is there a WhatsApp group before the trip?
Yes. Once your place is confirmed, you’re added to the group WhatsApp and a pre-trip video call. The group often starts connecting months before departure — that’s part of the experience.
